Serious games – Dowino

Game Designer – QA tester – Integrator – Sound Designer

(2025-2026)

During my time at DOWiNO, I worked on the development of many different serious games and paper-based escape games. My main responsibilities on this catalogue of serious games and learning modules included content integration, game design and quality assurance (QA), while also occasionally contributing to sound design and narrative design.

The impact agency

The Impact Agency is an series of self-published ready-to-use digital serious games sold to companies in order to raise teams’ awareness of CSR. Each episode takes the form of an investigation and explores a social or societal issue (burnout, gender inequalities, ethical digital practices…). This series is developed using DOWiNO’s in-house engine.

My responsibilities regarding the development of the TIA episodes were as follows:

→ Integrating content within the game engine. Using a design document and visual and audio assets, I integrated the content into the game engine, which operates like a nodal flowchart (blueprint-style).
→ QA testing: From the game’s first version right through to its release, I carried out manual testing on the game, reported bugs on the GitLab platform, prioritised them and fixed those that were related to engine integration. Once the bugs had been fixed, I then verified that they had been resolved and carried out non-regression tests to ensure that fixing the bugs had not introduced any new bugs in other features.
→ Sound Design: Since the launch of the TIA series, the soundscape consisted mainly of music and UI sounds. For the latest episode I worked on, a change in artistic direction gave me the opportunity to develop ambient sounds and sound effects for various scenes, characters and actions.

Here is an example of my work on the ambiant sound in the different environments.
